The Internet Innovation Alliance is a broad-based coalition of business and non-profit organizations that aim to ensure every American, regardless of race, income or geography, has access to the critical tool that is broadband Internet. The IIA seeks to promote public policies that support equal opportunity for universal broadband availability and adoption so that everyone, everywhere can seize the benefits of the Internet - from education to health care, employment to community building, civic engagement and beyond.

Tracey Sawicki

Tracey Sawicki has been the Executive Director of the Internet Innovation Alliance since July 2008.

Prior to joining the IIA, Sawicki was a Senior Vice President at Sloane & Company, a New York City-based public relations firm.  She has more than a decade of corporate public relations, public affairs and broadcast journalism experience. While at Sloane & Company, Sawicki managed several high-profile client programs across the telecommunications, health care, financial services and travel sectors.

Before joining Sloane & Company, Sawicki worked in Corporate Communications at AT&T Inc. At AT&T, she was involved in a number of high-stakes communications programs including the $16 billion merger of SBC and AT&T, quarterly earnings announcements, union negotiations and advertising/branding campaigns. Prior to AT&T, Sawicki worked at Concert, the $7 billion joint venture between AT&T and British Telecommunication, where she developed a broadcast media relations program.

An Emmy Award-winning journalist, Sawicki previously worked as a reporter and anchor at WYFF-TV in Greenville, S.C. and a reporter and producer for NBC affiliate KFDX-TV in Wichita Falls, Texas.

She holds a Master of Science from the Graduate School of Journalism at Columbia University and a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Marist College, where she graduated cum laude
