The IIA seeks to promote public policies that support equal opportunity for universal broadband availability and adoption so that everyone, everywhere can seize the benefits of the Internet - from education to health care, employment to community building, civic engagement and beyond.

Last January, social media giant Facebook reached 150 million users—and they did it in just five years. That’s certainly impressive, but as Fortune points out, the milestone is even more impressive when you take into account that it took television 38 years to reach that number.
